The Cannonball House This period home, built in 1853, is so named because of damage it suffered during the Battle of Dunlap Hill. Now coverted to a Museum, the original cannonball sits on display in the musuem along with numerous civilian and military artifacts. The museum is located just outside of Macon, GA. Madison-Morgan Cultural Center The Madison-Morgan Cultural Center resides in a fine old Romanesque Revival red brick building which was constructed in 1895 as one of the first graded public schools in the South. The original school bell still rings for the many visitors who enjoy its Piedmont History Museum, Boxwood Parlor, Old Classroom, Arts & Crafts Room as well as its full schedule of exhibitions, performances and other programs throughout the year.
